A feature flag tool lets a self-serve team turn a feature on for some accounts, gate it by plan or test it on new signups without a release. Most of the price comes from what the vendor counts: users, requests, seats or nothing at all. Settle that first, then check what the starting plan includes and where experiment results show up.

Pick the meter that grows slowest with your signups

If most of your signups never pay, a per-user meter charges for every one of them. LaunchDarkly's Foundation plan costs $10 a month per 1,000 client-side MAU, or $8.33 billed yearly. DevCycle Business costs $500 a month billed annually with 100,000 client-side MAU included, then $2.50 per 1,000. FeatBit Pro starts from $49 a month with 10,000 MAU included.

Request and event meters follow traffic instead of people. Tggl Standard costs €18 a month for 100,000 requests, then €2 per 100,000. Flagsmith Start-Up costs $40 or $45 a month depending on billing, with 1,000,000 requests included and extra requests from $50 per million. Statsig Pro is $150 a month for 5 million events, then $0.05 per 1,000. PostHog bills flag requests from $0.0001 each after the first 1,000,000 a month.

Seats and flat fees ignore users, which suits a small team with a large audience. Unleash Pay-As-You-Go costs $75 per seat a month, billed monthly, with unlimited client-side MAU and 53 million requests a month before $5 per million. GrowthBook Pro costs $40 per seat a month. ConfigCat Pro is a flat $110 a month.

Count the seats, projects and flags the starting plan allows

A plan priced for three people stops being cheap at the fourth. Flagsmith Start-Up allows 3 seats and Scale-Up 20. Tggl Standard allows 1 project and up to 20 seats, GrowthBook Pro 3 projects and up to 30 seats, ConfigCat Pro 100 feature flags across 3 environments. A solo founder rarely hits these caps; a startup adding a second product often does.

Once a customer's security review asks for SSO, price the plan that has it. LaunchDarkly includes SSO on every plan and Unleash on Pay-As-You-Go. Flagsmith keeps SSO, approvals and the audit log for Scale-Up, at $250 or $300 a month depending on billing.

Check where experiment results show up

Statsig, GrowthBook, LaunchDarkly, DevCycle, FeatBit, PostHog and Kameleoon run experiments inside the product, and Flagsmith's built-in Bayesian engine is in beta. ConfigCat, Unleash and Tggl split the traffic and send flag data to your analytics tool for the results, which works if Mixpanel or Amplitude already holds your conversion events. Harness builds in sequential testing and guardrail metrics, but sells only by quote.
